I have a thing for hotels housed in buildings that have a special history. In this blog, my colleagues and I have often told these fascinating stories. In this article I dedicate my attention to a luxury hotel, affiliated with Virtuoso, which is located in one of the symbolic cities of the United States: Los Angeles. It is a brand with a strong New York connotation, The NoMad, not surprisingly the name derives from the trendy New York neighborhood of the same name, with its luxury condominiums, elegant hotels, trendy restaurants and bars.

In the enchanting Eternal City, a stone's throw from Piazza del Popolo, The First Roma Arte is a 5-star luxury property, perfect for enjoying a unique stay. This wonderful art hotel, built as a noble palace in the 19th century, offers a luxury experience at the highest level. Simply staying here it’s already a first step to get in touch with the incomparable cultural context of the Italian capital.

Japan has become a popular destination for travelers. Personally I get many requests for spots, easily reachable from Tokyo, that offer beautiful views of Mount Fuji, immortalized in famous prints by the painter and engraver Hokusai. An itinerary that I propose passes through Lake Kawaguchi, one of the five lakes at the foot of Mount Fuji.

Getting to Calcutta means coming across a metropolis (17 million inhabitants, including the suburbs!) which has remained as India dated back 30/40 years ago. Thousands of yellow old ambassador cars (like Italian old Fiat 1100) used as taxi, the shops on the sidewalks that sell everything and cook food filling the air with spices and fumes, the chaotic traffic, the perennial noise of the horns, but also markets, richness of colours, the many British-style cricket clubs.
