Southern Italy offers endless travel opportunities. It is rich in history, art, archeology, landscapes that have become the symbol of the “Bel Paese” Italy all over the world. It joins this the fragrant and appetizing culinary art and the production of wines and spirits that add an unforgettable touch to the trip.

This is a tour that requires at least a week of time to enjoy food, wine and art in complete relaxation. For each destination I will suggest a hotel but if you prefer other accommodations you can choose alternatives. The transfers can be organized with a private driver but can also be done with a rental car or own vehicle.

I have a thing for hotels housed in buildings that have a special history. In this blog, my colleagues and I have often told these fascinating stories. In this article I dedicate my attention to a luxury hotel, affiliated with Virtuoso, which is located in one of the symbolic cities of the United States: Los Angeles. It is a brand with a strong New York connotation, The NoMad, not surprisingly the name derives from the trendy New York neighborhood of the same name, with its luxury condominiums, elegant hotels, trendy restaurants and bars.

When I ended the previous article, I was approaching  Aguas Calientes, the capital of the Machupicchu district, at the end of the journey aboard the Belmond Hiram Bingham train, coming from Cuzco. Let me start by saying that this  is just a sample of the Belmond luxury train routes that can be experienced in Peru. The Belmond Andean Exlplorer offers, for example, another fantastic itinerary that in a long journey crosses the main beauties of the country such as Lake Titicaca, the Canyon of the Coyca up to the white city of Arequipa.
