The capital of USA boasts among the most beautiful museums in the world

A short stay in Washington for business has been a great opportunity to experience an aspect of this city, with an European style,  not known to everyone.
Political capital with the headquarters of the American Congress and the White House, residence of the President, Whashington  boasts among the most beautiful museums in the world, with collections of great artistic value.

The National Mall is an incredible green area, where it is pleasant to walk, stretching between the Lincoln Memorial and Capitol Hill, dotted with monuments with great symbolic value for American history and museums that have nothing to envy to European museum institutions.

Bound to the time I had available I chose to visit the National Gallery, a neoclassical building that houses a vast and amazing collection of works of art. What is striking is the absence of crowds, typical of the greatest  European museums, where to admire the paintings often you have to wait for the turn and stop for a short time.

Instead here I could enjoy works by artists like Vermer and Rembrandt in total relaxation. Being able to live such a prestigious museum without the hussle of crowds, allows you to immerse yourself in an aesthetic contemplation without the problem of the rush. An experience to recommend to those who love art but much less the masses of tourists in museums.
